How the PIQ Program Works
The PIQ program measures the performance of MHP network primary care physicians in several key areas, including specific clinical protocols and preventive screenings. Physicians who adhere to the best medical practices are rewarded for the quality of their performance - by obtaining higher office visit reimbursements from participating partner companies and by earning the PIQ program's Distinguished Quality Physician (DQP) designation.
In addition, when you or a covered family member visits a DQP, you will pay a lower copay for the office visit.
